Finally got my riding boots. Just in time to not be able to ride for the next three weeks.. Whee!

I ordered three items on the same day. Two shipped the next day from the same location in Nevada, one via FedEx and one via UPS, the third left SC a day later via USPS.

There was an issue with the address on all 3 items.

FedEx. 1st place! Bravo! Your driver noted the issue and called the phone number on the shipping label to ask if he was in the right place. Outstanding!

USPS. 2nd place! You knew my name and that there are only two houses on my entire block. You delivered. For me!

UPS.. I’d give you a DNF if I could. Driver noted in system that address was wrong, marked as undeliverable and returned it to a “Customer Center” an hour away. Even though I was in my driveway as you drove by, there was a Phone number on the label and I have a business account with you peckers. And your website? Cute. “Action Required” and “Sorry the system is unavailable” are burned in my mind.

So much of these systems relies on the knowledge of the driver. Your list would have been entirely different if you gotten a different set of drivers. Sigh, technology, where are you?

When I have a package with a bad delivery label I use this

Kinja'd!!!

When that doesn't work I call base to see if they have the correct address in the system, and if base can't help I try the number on the package. Strike out three times and I mark it in the system as a bad address and take it back to base

Oh man. I know too much now about how bad labeled packages end up in the delivery van.
